New Aqua Terra models
Am I the only peron who's not keen on the new AT's? I picked up issue 3 of the Omega Magazine a while ago, saw the new models and have been trying to love them ever since. Don't get me wrong; I think the new calibre is beautiful and I'm glad it's a full in-house movement. But what's happened to the styling? The 'old' model is beautifully understated. I don't get the idea of the raised date surround or the new hour markers and hands. It's as if they've exaggerated all of the brightwork. The simplicity of the older watch was one of the main reasons I chose my 2504.50 so, subjective as this is, I think they've gilded the lily on this one. And arabic minute numbers on the chapter ring? I thought you got those on watches where a mouse points to the time! Does anyone else think the subtlety's been lost?
