Ya know, Sam. Just what is a grail? I figure it's a piece that one covets, a piece unobtainable by mere mortals. Is that Speedy Jim owns, a grail piece? Well, I don't know. However, what I do know is this. A couple of years ago, these watches were selling in the 9 to 10 grand range, now, we've seen the pricing at around 5 to 6 thousand. Does it deminish the worth of the watch? In a word.....Yes. Now, lets look at this purchase at another angle. Jim purchased said watch while Obama was running for president, had Jim been insighful, he would have assumed, or predicted, that the dollar would be worth much less today than it was yesterday.
Or, Jim may have been thinking that, given the great messiah's stimulus shovel ready trillion dollar construction plan, that 10 grand purchase was just a prelude to bigger and better things. 10 grand? A drop in the bucket! Yeah, I'm gonna be pourin concrete at the white house. Hey Jim, you got the man landing the helo on your crete? No? Didn't think so. Well Well, so there we have it. My own brother, paying major dollars for a watch that (basically) Jeff paid a grand for. Where does this leave Jim? OK, Jeff paid a grand(speculating)Jim paid 10 times that, for a watch with the same movement. Friends, draw your own conclusions....................................................David
