This one took some thought

: No Patek here.........3531 IWC......Gold, too small and Donna won't
: let me wear it.........

:

: 5001 IWC.......Too big....a scratch magnet......and Donna won't let
: me wear it.........

:

: OK, I do wear them occasionally, and they are great watches. But
: not something I would pick out for repairing a fire pump, or
: wearing while spending 24 hrs. at the Engine house. And Sam, I love
: that gold Omega, a bit flashy, but I'd wear it around the
: house, love the bracelet!.......David

I, like most here, buy watches to wear. I have several favorites that I wear regularly and love, on the other hand I do have a few that are not practical
due to value and rarity. My favorite watch of all is the big 40mm Omega dress. Its a one off commissioned watch built in 1935 and it simply
cannot be replaced under any circumstances. I do wear it as a dress watch and around other watch guys simply because its always a conversation
piece. It has no water resistance whatsoever so that makes it iffy to wear with anything other than a suit. My other is my 376.0822 Grail.
Its fairly rare and I just don.t want anything to happen to it. Thats a pretty stupid way to feel as I've never lost or damaged any watch before and I doubt it would ever happen with either one of these but you never know. A couple of pics.
