The first one is actually a pocketwatch thats cheaply built to look like an antique. You see them around on Fleabay and other
sites. I've never held one and know little about them. At least its not trying to be something its not. Except for the fact that
they want to fool you into thinking its a tourbillion, which its not, it has an open escapement and it probably keeps time. Anything
else is just a guess.

The second one is a watch that is of questionable heritage. It says it a quarter minute repeater. OK. Maybe it is.
Repeaters cost thousands of dollars. They are complicated, difficult to work on and near impossible to find a good one
in working order. The price speaks for itself. Its a unsigned movement made who knows where and if it were a good one
would probably set you back 5-10k. I wouldn't buy it. If it breaks, you are screwed. And it will break.

Thing is, people that have good watches for sale know what they are worth. All of us in the watch hobby have bought
questionable watches. Most of us even have a drawer in our desks that we hide them in. I got a whole drawer full.
I have done just what you are doing....................looking for a free lunch. Ain't gonna happen.
The good stuff thats worth keeping and collecting, that will grow, hopefully, in value, just costs more. If you think that
cruising Fleabay looking for the steal of a lifetime is going to happen....................its not, at least not on a regular basis.
There are some deals out there, you gotta know what you are looking at, what its worth and if its real.
As I said before, I got a whole drawer full.
I love to hear some others weigh in on this, I'm more than sure there are a few on here that have the same view as I.
