Thank you so so much, that's fantastic. So it originally had a leather strap it seems. I think I remember my father having a metal strap. I will look to find an original leather strap. I really appreciate your help thank you.

The serial number looks like 39 977766. I've found the Omega Vintage Database now thanks, so I'll see what else I can find.
