This is indeed a model that is very difficult to fix.

The Accutron movement has some weak spots, specifically the index wheel, a minuscule wheel with 300 teeth that transforms the 300 vibrations of the fork into a unit of a second through the gear train. These are often worn down and difficult or even impossible to source.
