Refinish the dial or leave it original? *PIC*
I recently inherited a 1973 vintage Omega dress watch. I sent the watch to Womble Watch Works in Georgia to have it reconditioned. The case and bracelet are gold filled and in good condition. The original dial has some minor flaws. Womble said that a replacement dial is not available. They suggested having them refinish the dial for $250 in addition to the cost to recondition the movement. Womble will also replace the crystal and clean the case and bracelet. I plan to keep the watch for it's sentimental value. Does a refinished dial reduce the value of the watch? Am I better off leaving the original dial in its present condition? Thanks!
