Re: Omega Planet Ocean Chrono
In Response To: Omega Planet Ocean Chrono ()

Hi there,

I have exactly the same problem after a year. Also in the chrono hand has started striking the hour hand and stopping the watch. I returned mine to omega, and they say that they have found a mark on the watch which suggests an impact, so they wont repair it unless I fork out £435. I've never dropped it or anything (I am a lawyer so I lead a fairly benign existence, and not much opportunity for physical shock!!) I would be interested to know how you get on. It sounds like a fault.

: Hi All,

: Just looking for a little advice if possible. Ive owned my Planet
: Ocean Seamaster chrono for just over a year and last night
: noticed it had stoped, its the first time its done this when
: wearing it so I manually gave it about 8 turns, it ran for
: another 20 mins then stopped again? starting intermitently.
: Normaly wh you move the watch you can hear the autowinder
: spinning but instead there was like a plinking noise coming from
: inside. Left it overnight and it seems to be ok again, the aotu
: movement spinning noise has returned alough seems a little
: unballanced when activating in the hand. Should I just leave it
: for a few more days and if all is well ignore it or just get it
: in to the dealers and put up with a long wait (A colleague told
: me it could be 3-4 weeks! :-0 )

: Its my first foray into the world of a nice watch so I am a little
: worried as it cost me so much to buy. Any advice welcomed and
: appreciated.
: Kind Regards
: Che
