I would venture that the watch is an early Hong Kong replica. I doubt the case is gold. The reason that makes me think this watch is not a genuine Omega is the markings stamped on the outer case back - Omega never did that. Also the dial which indicates Seamaster and Incabloc.

Sorry to be the bearer of potentially bad tidings - but at least you have something that is of sentimental value.
