: Astronomical shipping? I've not purchased anything from an auction
: house, but how much could they charge for this service? As far
: as the buyers
: premium, it's all stated in the agreement when you register to bid,
: so what's the big deal? Price to high? Don't bid. Premium bother
: you? Don't bid.
: Think they're gonna screw you on the shipping? Don't bid. And, if
: you are just convinced that you are gonna be robbed, don't even
: register to bid.
: I think you'll have to admit, Jim, these auction houses have some
: unique pieces that you'll not find anywhere else. So? What are
: you gonna do? Our

: take on dealing with these issues, Sam?

I believe that Sam is still feeling the sting on the premium and shipping Dave, maybe even speechless........which is saying something for Sam.
I understand what you are saying about stated prices and the additional charges they stack on you. Who really reads that stuff anyway?
I would, only because I'm scared of being screwed, but most probably wouldn't sit there and read every bit of the small print.
Its called shock, you bid $10,000 on that watch, you go to check out and BAM!!!! now its $12,500..............
It seems as if they hang so much crap on the end of the sale, an affordable watch just became unaffordable. It happens.
Sorta like Fleabay sellers with inflated shipping, buy a $100 item and the scammer charges $80 shipping.
