: explain a picture.

: How about a few words?

: Great shots

: Sam

Ya know Sam, I am typically a talkative person. So it surprises me that I forgot to describe any of them. Sorry about that. Here you are though:

1. Happened to notice this tressel well hidden on the canal.
2. One of the towers at the now abandoned King Mill in Augusta. This building used to be the Augusta Powder works during the civil war, and was one of the main suppliers of gunpowder to the confederacy.
3. Looking up the old bulwark that sits in front of the old King Mill.
4. Another tower at King Mill. I liked this one due to the mixture of new and old architecture, and founf the rusting "Employment Office" sign reminiscent of past times when jobs were to be had and the disparity of the economy today. (A little deeper than most of my other pictures lol)
5. A chimney on the housing for an old hydraulic electrical generator by the canal. (Hopefully we can get in to the building soon to get pictures of the generator.)
6. Retaining and channeling walls behind the water pumping station that sits between the Savannah river and the Augusta canal. Again I was attracted to this picture due to the contrast in past and modern architecture.
7. My son and I after riding trails at Big River ATV park.
8. My son and I on my motorcycle.

Hope that sheds some light on the what, where, and why of these pictures. I know, or at least hope, I am not the only one with other interest besides watches. Would love to hear from others, or see pictures of and about what else everyone enjoys.
Dave
