Hi Cajun Mike ,

My message may reach you too late, as you may already have purchased your watch ?
But if not, i thought a second opinion may be of value to you ?

Like you, I also, am an Omega fan, and had some of the same questions you have. I
always liked both chrono and no chrono versions but really wanted to own the chrono.
I intended to wear it every day and my feeling was the chrono was more sporty. To
me, the non chrono appears more eligant and better suited to late night dining and
00 missions.

To be honnest I tried the chrono on a few times and was concerned it may be too big,
and, too heavy. I also tried the 42mm & 45mm non chrono versions but started to dislike
the date at the 3 oclock position. To me it looks odd as it has the 12 ,6 & 9 in large
classic figures and appears that the 3 was forgotten in the design, leaving it looking
out of balance ?

Anyway i now own the Planet ocean chronograpgh . It is heavy , it is large , and its been
my favourite watch ever since i bought it .

One final comment - the first 1 to 2 weeks wearing the planet ocean feels like a brick
chained to your wrist . I actually had pain in my forearm and thought id made a big mistake .
Now every time i put the watch on its like ive always worn it and it makes you want to check
the time just so you can admire it .

Good luck !

David
