Re:quartz battery replacement - go to a jeweler, its cheap

I'd recommend you simply take the watch to a reputable jewelry store. A local jewelry store may even have an actual watchmaker on site. Call up a few in your area and ask if they do. They'll replace the battery for probably $10-$15 (they do it at the local "Bands & Batteries" store here for approx $8). If you do it yourself you'll probably impair its water resistance or perhaps scratch the back of the watch case. Not worth the effort to save 10 bucks in my opinion.

: Hello all,
: I have a seamaster quartz midsize (about 5 yrs old.) The battery is
: dead, and I am wondering if it is easy to replace the battery
: myself...
: Any recommendations on where to buy the tool to remove the cover?
: Is it as simple as removing the cover and swapping in a new
: battery?
: Thanks,
