Re: Apollo XI 10th Anniv Questions
In Response To: Apollo XI 10th Anniv Questions ()

: I acquired a speedmaster sapphire sandwich recently for cheap. I am
: not exactly sure what model is. After some research I think it
: is the Apollo XI 10th Anniversary. The watch had been sent to
: Omega for repair after water damage and looks outstanding. I
: have the dial that was on it originally (T Swiss T) but it has
: been replaced with a non T Swiss T dial. Also it is on a Omega
: logo 1171/1 bracelet and also came with another Speedmaster logo
: bracelet that says 1479 on it. My questions are which bracelet
: came on this originally and how much does replacing the dial
: hurt the watch? Can I get a T Swiss T dial to put back in it
: (used)? The one I have is in bad condition (the markers are worn
: off some and brown/yellow). Anyway anything anyone can tell me
: about this is appreciated (ref #, value, history etc...) There
: is no paperwork or box.

Please see the entries in this table for 1980

While it may have been committed by Omega, your watch is no longer original and will be less valuable to collectors.
I am confused by your remarks-- the dial supplied by Omega and currently on the watch is in poor shape or are you saying you have a second dial?

The 1171 bracelet was appropriate for the apparent age of the watch; the 1479 bracelet was first used in 1991
