: I know there are quite a few posts on this subject, but I wanted to
: make sure mine wasn't a special case.
: I've had my Seamaster 300m for just over three years (I've not had
: it serviced in that time - slapped wrists). In that time it's
: never been more than a minute or so off the correct time.
: When I put it on this morning I noticed it had run about 45 minutes
: fast, which was very unusual. I set it to the correct time at
: 6am and now (9.10am) it's 15 minutes fast.
: Should I be concerned, or should a damn good servicing sort it out?
Hi Stuart, that's really a lot of an advance: I've never heard of any watches gaining time so quickly.
Three years w/o a service is not that much if it's got regular wristtime, but certainly you should have it checked thoroughly by a good watchmaker as soon as possible. But don't be too concerned: seldom is there anything that cannot be fixed in mechanical watches hopefully.
Cheers.
Fabrizio
: Thanks all.
