: I am hoping someone here will be able to tell me about this watch.
: My father recently passed and I found this in his jewelery box.
: It must have been sitting in there for 20 years or more. Has no
: watch band and is pretty beat up but it still works and
: amazingly keeps really good time. It says Omega automatic
: globemaster. Has an omega symbol on the crown and the back has
: engraved "* 10k gfd bezel" and under that
: "stainless back". I went to the omega site and they
: don't seem to make a globemaster. Can anyone shed some light on
: this watch for me.
Can you get the caseback off of the watch? There should be some numbers stamped on the inside that would allow us to research it. First of all, the watch dial has been refinished at some point in its life, so Im not sure if it started out as a "Globemaster".
