How many removable links does a Seamaster 300 have?

My Seamaster has six full size removable links, plus the half-link. It was my understanding when I bought it that the prior owner (a mountain of a man) had purchased two additional links so that it would fit his wrist. So, the question is, 'how many removable links come standard on the (modern) Seamaster?' It's a post-Bond Seamaster 300, 8147XXXX serial, purchased new in late 2007. It doesn't matter, but if I got a couple of extra links, that makes it a much better deal -- those things are pricey. I'm just curious as to whether the seller lied, or I've got extra links. I can't find the info in the manual or online. Thanks.
