: If the watch functions well on the wrist, but not crown up while
: not worn overnight, when it has previously, perhaps the location
: it is stored has had the conditions changed.
: Any changes, such as a new charger or new electronics added?

: Despite your belief, a mild shock or electrical field is the most
: likely culprit.

: Second, I would give the watch a little time to settle in before
: getting concerned. Watch it a another week and see if the
: behavior is consistent (assuming you haven't already)

: Third, try storing the watch overnight in different positions: face
: up, face down, crown down. Are the results identical?

: Finally, if the timekeeping cannot be controlled by position,
: return the watch for re-regulation.

i tried CU, and CD which results in at least a +15 gain overnight. yesterday i resynch'ed the watch with the usno atomic clock and wore the watch the whole day and night only removing it to shower. when i woke up this morning it gained +4 sec only. maybe tonight i'll test it out again in different positions
