Re: New novice owner seeks assistance

Hey,
Congrats! I hope you are enjoying your watch. My wife got me the same one for fathers day and I have been loving it so far! Ill tell you a couple things I have discovered over the last month with mine. It is a bit heavy like people say online. It could be considered uncomfortable by some after long periods of wearing, and it may look big on you if you have a small wrist. NOW after saying these things remember the most important thing I see with this is its totally personal preference! I like heavy watches, I don't think its uncomfortable after wearing it all day, and my wrist is only 7.5 inches in diameter and I don't think the watch looks too big, personal preference.

I was very curious about how accurate the watch was going to be, Im pretty sure its certified to -4/+6 seconds a day which is pretty good. I have used this website a lot to check the time for my watch www.time.gov. At first the watch was all over a bit but after a week of wearing and winding it has settled into around within 3 seconds of the official time. I feel like thats really good.

I was also looking into getting a watchwinder and I found a really good website with lots of information you could check out, I don't know if they mention your Wolf brand that you were looking at. Check out http://www.watchcases.com/automaticwat.html. I found this to be a very good place for information on the winders. I am still trying to decide which one to get for myself.

A couple things about winding that should be verified by some more knowledgeable people on here buuuut I think I read this stuff somewhere while I was trying to reasearch the watch.

1. I think I read that it takes about 20 winds to get the watch fully wound.

2. I also think I read that whenever you wind the watch it should be wound fully not just a little bit, something about the "automatic" working better when it was totally wound.

I also found nothing online about any specific break in period.

Best of luck with the watch and I hope this answers maybe a little of the questions you had.

: Greetings all,

: I've recently purchased a new SeamasterPO (2910.51.82), I was
: interesting to know the following:

: 1. Are there any special considerations to be given being that this
: watch is new, something along the lines of a break-in period for
: new vehicles?

: 2. I was unable to find this information thus far, how many turns
: per day does my watch require, and what direction does the rotor
: rotate in?

: 3. I am considering purchasing a Wolf watch winder, being that my
: work does not permit me to wear the watch, so I will only be
: wearing it on the weekend.

: Thanks in advance to anyone who may provide any assistance,

: Novice Omega owner
