Hello to all,
First time posting but long time lurker. Grateful for all the good info on this forum.
I have a Seamaster 300M Midsize Chronometer purchased new May of 2007. I wear it 16 hours/day on weekdays at a desk job and 8-14 hours a day Sat-Sun. I wind it when I change dates on short months and have never had a stoppage problem until recently. On June 30 I reset the date and wound it about 30 turns. Wore it 16 hours a day on Thursday and Friday, 9 hours Saturday and 14 hours Sunday. On Monday after sitting for 17 1/2 hours it had stopped.
Did a rewind of about 50 turns and wore another 16 hours/day for 4 days then 12 hours on Saturday (not a very active day, mostly sitting) before leaving it to sit 9 hours Saturday into Sunday morning. Once again it stopped after those 9 hours.
Remembering some suggestions on this forum I did a rewind, 50 turns again, and let sit until it stopped after 38 1/2 hours. Now I've read on here a power reserve of anywhere from 40 - 48 hours so I'm not sure if the 38 is within a reasonable range.
So my question is if you guys think these are normal events for an automatic, if I might have a power problem or some other issue? Any thoughts are appreciated.
