welcome to this humble forum, or at least to this humble members post.
Personally, in this case I would keep it simple.
If I were you, I would turn the crown in the direction that would make the hands turn clockwise, as to advance upon the time desired. I am not all that educated into the nuances of every Omega watch, and please if other members can add to this, please do.
But moving the hands in the same direction as their usual movement is the movement that is desired and prescribed. Perhaps I have another watch that varies from the norm, and in that case, I vary the turning of the crown to make the hands turn in a clockwise direction.
Simply put, turn the crown in any direction, as long as the hands turn in the clockwise direction.
Not sure how you got two sets of directions, but the hands turning in a clockwise direction is the aim, and the healthiest attitude as to your watches movement, no matter what direction the crown is turning.
