A very rarely seen Seamaster....

Hi

I'm sure this would have been covered before , but for the Omega fanatics that think this is a 'Jedi'....then I've got some news:

According to Chuck Maddox's reference table for the Vader & Anakin then this really is a 'Jedi:

See here:

This is an Omega Seamaster 145.024 running the 861 calibre and was only produced between 1970 - 71.

Now this one has had two previous owners - initially supplied to the 1st owner in the Netherlands on the 27th May '72 and both of whom never wore it and kept it in safety deposit boxes ! That meant it came with all the original paperwork & box....even the hangtag....but also a couple of problems....in fact at some point it had been partly cannibalised with the handset removed (and replaced incorrectly later) and part of the movement removed (causing a problem with the chrono reset).

Having forked out a considerable chunk of money , it then fell to me to trace the correct NOS handset (not easy when they are no longer available from Omega) and Swiss Time Services to repair & service the Watch.

The resulting replacement parts & service have now brought a 40yr old unused watch back to 'vivid' life - I personally think this is the best colour combination - those orange hands really look superb !

The case is part of the 'pilot line' range of Omega's and has an amazing 'Starburst' finish and is a very decent 47.5mm by 43mm in size:

It's also fitted with the original & ultra rare 1116 bracelet , which along with the case & caseback are all completely unmarked:

Overall , I am very pleased with how this one has turned out....considering at one point I didn't have any of the correct hands to use....now all that is required is for me to actually wear it :)

Cheers Neil
