Re: inherited omega watch - help

This is probably a calibre 711 US cased DeVille, hence the lack of reference in the database. The Norman Morris Corp was OMega's US agent until 1980 and produced a range of popular dress watch 14k cases which housed imported Omega movements and often dials.

The diameter of your case is probably around 32 - 33 mm which was the standard size for a dress watch at the time. These beautiful pieces are often worn by women in these days of case areas matching the land area of Malta, but I believe they will generate a keen collecting base over time, as interest in 'micro-thin' movements movements grows.

We would need to see a picture of the movement and inner case-back to be absolutely sure of the above comments.

Cheers

: Also, I took it to a jeweler and they tested it, and confirmed that
: it is solid 14 karat gold. It is manual, no battery.
