Re: Omega 14k Ultra Thin Yellow Gold Band

: I am trying to et more details and basic value information on this
: watch. A search on the Omega website reflects that the four
: digit number I entered is related to a leather band so something
: is wrong there.

: It is a gold watch with a fully yellow gold 14k band. 14k is
: stamped on the back of the cover and the back of the clasp I
: believe but the stamping on the clasp is very small. The face of
: the watch is black with a single stone (diamond?) at the 12
: position and underneath that is the Omega symbol and the word
: Omega.

: The back cover when removed has the triangle inside with the Omega
: symbol and Omega Watch Co inside the triange. The number below
: that is D6672 and below that is 574712. I will attach some
: pictures too. Any help is appreciated. Ed

The Omega Vintage Database is far from complete, and in any case, does not include every variation of case metal/strap in which a watch was offered. Thus it is unsurprising you did not find an exact match.

What four digit number did you use on the website?

Omega watches include three numbers (sometimes four) on almost all watches:

>> movement serial number of 7 or 8 digits on the movement itself; this can tell you the approximate age of production of the movement

>> calibre number; a 3 or 4 digit number near the capital Greek letter omega on the movement, which can often allow you to find a closely matching watch in the database and may comment on the quality of the watch

>> case/model number on the inside of the case back; yours indicates that 1) the watch is from the Jewelry Collection of watches, or 2) if the watch is older than the mid-1960s that it was a "US Collection" watch shipped to the US uncased and put into a case in the US (thus avoiding import duties).

>> case serial number; 7 digit number found on gold cases until the mid-1950s and steel cases prior to the mid-1940s

More details can get you more information or help us better focus your search.
