Hi,
Short story - I sold my seamaster automatic chrono, and following shipping the buyer reports it isn't winding automatically any more. He says it does wind manually and is otherwise fine.
He's been quoted £385 for a fix, which sounds excessive for what seems like it should be a relatively cheap fix.
Can anyone comment:
Is this a common/known problem?
What part (if any) does this sound likely to be caused by?
Does this price sound reasonable?
I packaged the watch with lots of extra padding, and in it's own original boxes. Is this the sort of fault that could have occurred because of rough handling?
thanks for any help,
--justin
