Omega Seamaster year and serial number

Hi Guys,

I have just aqquired a Vintage Omega Seamaster and wanted to know from what year its from and all the resources I sea just seem to confuse me more, Can anyone help? The serial Number on the inside of the case is 14749 1 SC and the movement is a Cal 600 with a serial number 17972523. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
