Re: Advantages of Auth. Dealer
In Response To: Advantages of Auth. Dealer ()

: Thanks to Derek and other forum members, I now
: know that the watch I crave is the 2532.80.
: Now I am trying to decide whether to get it
: from Ashford (3 year warranty w/serial #),
: Wristwatch.com (2 year warranty w/o serial
: #) or an authorized dealer (1 year
: warranty). So, with longer warranties
: available from gray market dealers, and
: assuming comparable prices, what are the
: advantages of authorized dealers? TIA

Steve, I'm interested in buying the same watch as you do, and have done alittle research along the way. Now with Ashford, with the 'special offer', I still manage to get another 20% off of that price, which came out to around $1050! And now that you guys told told me that their watches come with the serial number intact, that's a big pluse!

And with an authorized dealer (www.watches-etc.com), they would take 30% off the retail price ($1225), which is not bad considering that they are Omega authorized.

I'm still trying to decide authorized or gray market.
