All,
I own a GMT, actually, my original has been replaced twice. (First lasted two years, second lasted one freakin' week with the SAME EXACT problem one week after a time change). I now have the new watch, and have been considering selling it. Here's my problem. It's beautiful. I can't stand the thought of it going bye bye. So, does anyone know of factory documented problems with the hour hand slipping? I can't say I completely trust this particualr model anymore, as I am on my 3rd one. Also, it happens so sporadically... say a week after a time adjustment, or date change. I figure it ought to fail right away indicating something has not "engaged" properly...I could live with that if I could simply fidget with the watch until it all falls into place. However, it lulls me into thinking everything is okay, then BAM, one, two, up to four hours off in a single evening. Trust me, it'l screw with your head. I'm crossing my fingers that it does not happen to my new one. I have heard of others who have had similar problems, but I'm wondering if this is something the factory has taken notice of. Any insight? Personal anecdotes are helpful, but not particularly conclusive...but please anything to win back my confidence would greatly be appreciated.
