: I have decided to participate in some self
: indulgence and treat myself to a new watch.
: I currently own a
: 2-tone blue dial Submariner in mint condition,
: (purchased new in 1994) that gets very
: little use, special
: occasions etc, and the equivalent Invicta
: sports divers model which is my every day
: watch. As we all know
: these two watches are worlds apart and I want
: to narrow the gap for my daily wearer. After
: considerable
: pondering my conclusion has led me to the
: ORIGINAL Speedmaster or the Seamaster
: Professional
: Chronograph. The purchase would be a new watch
: from an authorized dealer. Which do I buy
: and why?
: Thanking you in advance and kindest regards,
: Bob Fulop. ( Australia.)
I am a fan of the Speedmaster - various models. I am, like all of you, a watch fan. I have two Tag Heuers (one quartz, one chronometer), a Cartier, Datejust G&S Rolex, old Hamilton and Movado and various others...and now, my new watch...a longtime favorite, a Speedmaster Automatic Date! I love the look and history of the Pro, but have a small wrist. Been checking the time against Time.Gov...and it has been consistently accurate since I got it on Christmas Eve. Either way, best wishes with your purhase, but I'd go with the Speedy...especially considering the others in your collection.
