Thanks for the comments. Not sure if it'll work on my wife, but we'll see. Regarding your question on buying gray market, if you haven't checked out the section on the main site entitled Gray Market Watches, do so. It's got great information and is fairly unbiased.
My two cents... It's a gamble between what you'll save vs. how nervous you are about the product. At what $$ savings will you be comfortable without an authorized warranty. But use this forum and ask around about prospective vendors. There's a good chance folks here have heard of them and may be able to give you some advice.
Check out www.skw.com and watches-etc.com. The first isn't authorized, but rumor has it distributes through an authorized dealer. The latter is authorized. Good luck!
