Yes, quite typical. Mine usually changes at 11:55pm or so. This is easy to take of with a slight adjustment. If it bugs you, send your watch back right away. If you are not that uptight about it, wait until you send your watch for service, and have it adjusted then. I'm opting for the latter option, 11:55pm is close enough for me.
