I am not sure of the validity of that rumor. I guess I will just have to take my chances along with several other thousand consumers who have bought watches off of the internet from retailers who remove serial numbers. Do you really think that some legal authority would try to bring charges against me for buying an $840 watch off of a legitimate website? Also, I probably wouldn't send my watch to Omega to have it fixed (I can see why they might have a problem with it). Could it be that the people who frequent this website are a little upset that I am totally happy with my genuine Omega that I paid 40% off of retail for?. I hope not. When I initially posted I was just trying to tell everyone I got a great watch at a great price. It seems that several people have a problem with that.
