Short Story. My wonderful wife gave me a brand new (the jeweler just got it for 2 days prior)Rolex Submariner date. First the clasp was stuck. The jeweler fixed it. Then I noticed the side of the watch was not polished (still brushed)all the way down. Granted it was a small portion, but obvious to the naked eye. The jeweler wanted to keep it. I returned it instead. For $3575.00 the watch was not perfect. My wife told me to get anything I wanted to replace it. I ordered a Omega Seamaster Pro from Ashford ($1020.00...saved $2575.00 over the Rolex...HA!). My father-in-law had a basic Omega that ran straight for 40 years (never serviced) I think I have found my watch.
