$960 from Ashford.com is a great price -- if watchworld can beat that by $125 then that's a real steal, but you didn't say what you paid. In the end the serial number decision becomes a personal choice issue, as is buying from any gray market vs. authorized dealer. I wouldn't buy from anyone who scrubbed the serial number off a fine watch -- aside from it being shady -- who knows what you've got, when it was made, where it's been, what repairs it has undergone and who made such repairs. Just my .02 I bought my SMP chrono from Ashford just before Christmas have been smiling ever since.
