Nicked bezel...send it in or not?

It took me over a year to do it, but I finally nicked my James Bond Seamaster bezel (the blue version) right over the 54 minute hash mark. Many people are telling me to ignore it, which I guess I could, but I really wish it wasn't there. I don't mind the clasp and bracelet getting scuffed, but the bezel catches the light and the scratch/nick is noticeable to me.

I called Omega and Time Tech, the official Omega repair place in Texas, and they both told me that the entire bezel would have to be replaced, not just the blue insert as Derek says, because it is too difficult to put in, it can get bent, etc. Time Tech told me to leave this alone because it isn't worth it.

The only thing is that if Omega discontinues this particular kind of Seamaster (and really, how long do you think it will last since all the other Seamasters are different now?), how would I ever get a replacement bezel in the future? I don't know how long it would take them to fix it at the Pennsylvania location, but I imagine I would be without my watch for a long time.

What do you guys do about your watches? Do you live with the nicks and scratches on the face and bezel? How many nicks until I should send it in?

Thanks!
