My Bond SMP bezel does not move up and down at all. I don't think this would copromise the WR of the watch, bezels are usually an external attachment on watches. Once I banged my Seiko diver against a banister so hard the bezel ring popped off. It did not expose the internal components of the watch.
Perhaps Derek can offer more advice, but if you recently purchased the watch, I would think you could trade it for a new one. You should be satisfied with your purchase completely.
: I recently bought a Seamaster Pro 2252.50
: (mid-size, automatic, black dial, black bezel,
: new metal bracelet).
: The bezel of my new watch seems not to be
: perfectly adjusted. It can move up and down
: from
: about 0,2 mm (estimated),and let me see a small
: black split beetween the bezel and the case.
: The bezel is not screwed, so this little
: movement
: is perhaps normal.
: - do you have the same behavior on other or
: same
: Seamaster watches ?
: - do you think the water resistance is
: decreased ?
: - may I send back the watch under warranty for
: this "problem" ?
: Thanks,
: Pierre.
