I think buying watches is not any kind of proper investment unless the watch is 'very limited edition' (even in that case it is still risky).
WHY ALL OF YOU GUYS DON'T JUST BUY THE BLOODY WATCH AND ENJOY IT!!! AS FAR AS I KNOW NOBODY MADE A FORTUNE BY BUYING AND SELLING WATCHES!!!
Besides this OMEGA watches are made to keep them forever and I do believe that any OMEGA owner willing to sell his OMEGA simply does not deserve to own such watch.
I will give my 259880 SMP chrono to my kids (even if it is not working) after many years for sure...
