This is what Omega told me about Superluminova when I emailed them:
Dear Mr. Rodman,
Thank you for your interest in our products.
It ist not a trick of your eyes, it is two different versions of production.
On one piece, there is certainly tritium and on the other there is certainly "Superluminova". (I did not see the pieces).
We stopped completely to produce tritium at end 1997.
Of course, it could have some pieces by our retailers.
But, the only possibility to know what kind of material is made the watch is to ask to our World Service,
with the number engraved on the back of the watch.
With this number, we can tell you exactly if it is made of tritium or not.
The material we actually use is a high performance, phosphorescent pigments
with greater light storage capacity call "Super-luminova". It seems green, or yellowish.
But we used tritium during many years without problems, we only changed for ecological reasons.
Should you need further information, do no hesitate to contact us again.
