Stand on their own. I wouldnt say that one is an improvement over the other...just different. I like the skeleton hands better but yes they are immediately more visible. Luminosity is not a real factor for me. In the summer here it never gets dark. In the winter it never really gets that light in the daytime and I find that the incidental and indoor lighting is never enough to charge the luminous material enough to be useful on any of my watches with that feature. I can see it being handy in a theater in the summer but little else. We golf at midnight up here in the summer.

: I bought one late last year and have worn it
: every day since then.
: The less fussy bracelet and the bigger numerals
: on the bezel appealed to me and with the
: sword hands and the larger minute markers,
: the face is bold but, being black rather
: than blue, is less of an attention-grabber.
: The luminosity, as you've probably heard
: from other sources, is like no other watch
: I've ever seen. In failing light it can look
: almost as if it's backlit.
: It's a watch that I can't see myself ever
: selling.
: Forgive my eulogising but I think that Omega
: have consolidated what was already a
: striking design and produced a breath-taking
: one.
