My best experience with that was spending 7 hours buying a used Volvo from the dealership. Had my wife and a 5 month old puppy with us. Had the sales guy practically in tears when they gave in an extra several hundred dollars to make the financing go through faster.
Good to know even authorized dealers can be negotiated well with.
