Derek, I've been wondering if one of my Omega's got zapped by a magnetic field and thought you might be able to shed some light on the subject. This topic may be a good one to add to your super informative site.
What are the symptoms of a magnetized watch? How does a watch technician test to see if a watch is magnetized? What tools /processes are used to demagnatize a watch? Will my watch shop have the right tools, or should I send it to Omega?
Would a bulk tape demagnatizer (computer industry tool to demagnatize computer grade magnetic tape) work? How about a television degaussing tool?
As always, thanks for the great site!
