That said I think the SMP is the better watch. Better value, better bracelet, better looking (but that's subjective). The only category where the submariner wins is in resale value. Plus everybody has a Rolex. The first thing I think when I see one is, 'is it fake?'.
Oh, and you are much more likely to get your head cracked and your watch stolen if you ride the subway wearing a submariner. If are wearing the SMP only a fellow watch lover will know what's on your wrist.
