: Does anybody know where I can get a new band?
: My 1979 version finnally wore out and I
: cannot find a replacement.
I assume you mean the metal bracelet ('band' is a generic term that encompasses the leather, rubber and cloth type straps as well as the metal bracelets).
To get an authentic Omega replacement bracelet, try contacting Omega USA Customer Service at 800-456-5354. If they can no longer provide one, your next best bet is to either switch to a leather strap or buy a generic metal bracelet from a local watch store.
