The caveat here is authorized dealers vary *highly* in knowledge, helpfulness and willingness to do these smaller tasks.

Most of the mall-located dealers here in Atlanta are f***ing idiots that Omega should be embarrased to claim they do business with. They know little to nothing about the products, offer nominal discounts on watches (10%, maybe 15% if you really negotiate) and are not willing to offer *any* discount on accessories (since it is a special order that they have to go to extra effort for). None even attempt to stock Omega accessory items--even simple things like straps. Some can't even read the Omega dealer catalog well enough to figure out if such are available.

So if anyone chooses to go through an authorized dealer for accessories, I *highly* recommend checking out the dealer first and avoiding any mall-situated dealers.

Frankly, balancing the frustrations against the small possible savings on accessories, it is usually quite simpler to just order direct from Omega and pay full price *unless* you already know a dealer that is willing and able to help you with these smaller items.
