For the answer to the NUMBER #1 most frequently asked question here--for details or value of a specific older Omega watch you have--go to: Tell Me About My Omega. | Learn more about How To Include Photos and HTML In Your Postings. | To contact someone with a question not relevant to other readers of the forum, please click on their email address and contact them privately. |
that very question and his response was:
a) This watch is very durable and as long as the the crown is properly screwed in, you should have absolutely no problem taking the watch swimming, diving, etc...
b) This is the same jeweller I bought my 225450 (blk/blck SMP) from. I bought mine 2 months ago and he says my watch will perform flawlessly, without servicing it for the next 5 years, regardless of what kind of abuse I put it through. He also noted that if water EVER gets into the watch during the entire time I own it, OMEGA will service it free of charge as he states this would be OMEGA's problem, not mine. I'm not sure if that last bit of advice is true so, I'd like your input on that...
c) I can take his knowledge and advice seriously because he's an authorized dealer and most importantly, he also wears an SMP titanium. If I can't put my faith in him, I'm not sure who I can trust. He's also a reputable jeweller in a very well known mall, so I have to take those points into consideration.
Hope I didn't babble too much there... :O)
