Actually, if you've never heard the highest quality records such as many of the Mercury Living Presence series of the 1960's and 1970's on a top notch, well integrated sound system with an excellent quality turntable/arm/cartridge combination it would be hard to appreciate my preference. We're talking about several thousand dollars (USD) of equipment here at a minimum. The sound is alive, extremely realistic with great dynamic range, and very holographic. No need for ambience retrieval systems to give you the 'you are there' feeling.
I'm really not against CD's. I have hundred's and a excellent single play machine which mates well with my other equipment. The overall sound of my CDs are great, just not as great as some as my records.
: old vrs newer technology, but records over
: CD's???
: Just kidding!
