Hi all,
I have two watches, both Omegas and both without serial numbers that I can find!
The first is a 1960s with the following on the face:
OMEGA
AUTOMATIC
Geneve
DYNAMIC
I tried to take the back off but the ring only holds the strap to the watch. I was told that the innards are actually accessed through the front on removing the glass - something I'm not equipped to do. I can find no serial number on the outside of the watch.
The second was bought for me in 1987 and is a Seamaster - it is stainless steel but looks like titanium. It came out about the time the titanium and gold Seamasters were around. The watch is extremely thin - on taking the back off there is an Omega quartz movement with an IC labelled M701 1077. No sign of a serial number in there, although I do have an 8 digit number on the guarentee.
Any pointers to where to find the serial numbers, the ID of the first watch etc would be most welcome.
Andy
