I rather enjoyed both of your posts. I am lucky in the sense that i've gotten to travel around the world while in the Marines. One thing i noticed is that people value different things in different locales and are willing to pay accordingly. We are ALL sheep in a sense, marketing of products entices us to prefer one product over the next. The thing that really works (IMHO) is to sit down and do a cost-benefit analysis and decide what is right for you. there is no "perfect" watch or brand, just buy the one that speaks to you.
