:David,
I purchased a SMP Chrono when they first came into the US in 93. I got it at Ben Bridge. I had nothing but troubles with it. It stopped numerous times the store said I was not active enought !!
and I'm a Professional Firefighter !!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, after they returned it twice to their service dept with no luck on solving the porblem I was given a refund. I had another SMP non-chrono and had no problems.
Good Luck,
I guess your answer depends on where you got it and how you paid.
