What's Omega charge to service a "Bond" SMP?Is it cheaper to service the Quartz versions?
I've owned quartz watches for years before becoming a WatchNut and never did more than swap out batteries when the watches stopped,wiped the crud off the gasket,and off she goes for three more years!These watches ran for years without any oiling or cleaning/diassembly,etc.When they got beat up enough looking or just out of style,I'd throw them in the drawer,but NOT because they were broken.
So,what are the thoughts on this:If you can splurge for the SMP but don't have the budget to shell out big$$$,is a Quartz a safer bet?
I'd love to hear any opinions!
P.S.I do own five autos already,I dred the day they start seizing up!But I confess I love to watch that secs hand trickle across the dial!:^)
